Hexham Station (18 miles away) for stations between Newcastle and Carlisle. 

Trains are operated by Northern Railway

 

Newcastle Central Station (approx 35 miles away) for the East Coast Mainline, Newcastle to Carlisle via Hexham & Newcastle to Sunderland, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

Trains are operated by LNER, Cross Country Trains, TransPennine Express, Northern Railway, Grand Central Rail, Lumo

 

Airports

Newcastle International Airport

By Car

Newcastle International Airport is located to the west of Newcastle and is around 45 mins by car from Bellingham. 

By Train

Take the train from Hexham to Newcastle Central Station. On arrival at Newcastle, you will need to take either a taxi or the METRO to get to the Airport.

The METRO is near the railway station ticket office on the far side of the ticket barriers and close to the station entrance. 

At the METRO you will need to take the Platform to the LEFT at the bottom of the stairs. Be sure to board the AIRPORT train, as the other train goes towards BENTON and beyond.

 

Carlisle Lake District Airport

By Car

Carlisle Lake District Airport is located to the north east of Carlisle and is around an hours drive from Bellingham. 

 

Walks

Bellingham is a fantastic base for walkers as it forms part of the 268 mile Pennine Way route from Edale, in the northern Derbyshire Peak District, north through the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Park and ends at Kirk Yetholm, just inside the Scottish border.
