New Brand Identity for 2021 Project

Our existing logo served us well since our website was launched in 2019. As we looked to improve the look and functionality of the website it was a good opportunity to tweak our logo with something that is simple and a bit more “Bellingham”.

This had the added bonus if releasing the existing Town Hall imagery back to the Town Hall Committee who didn’t have logo at present.

Our logo is used extensively on our website, Facebook, in our noticeboard and on bins etc.

old and new logos

Designed in-house by one of our councillors, the new logo is clear and bold and can be re-formatted in a number of ways depending on the medium in which it is used. For Example, a black and white version for printed stationery -

Noticeboard Headers and bin stickers would use the Horns logo only with wording specific to the use -

Alternate versions are used for our website header and email signature. These retain the same colour pallete.website and email versions

Variations can be used for specific events or times of the year.

We can create graduated backgrounds that transition between the base magenta and gold colours to create dynamic backgrounds. We can also pitch and crop the logo to fit different situations. Transitions can be top-bottom, side to side or any combination to keep the imagery fresh. The logo would always sit in the magenta part of the graduation.

For Example -

The logo and colour scheme are used in all promotional stickers.

For example, Sponsor Stakes for Bellingham in Bloom Planters and instructional stickers for our free Wi-Fi service. bloom and wi-fi sticker examples

The font used throughout our printed assets is Avenir Next with Small Caps Option for the main typeface. For the website, the Verdana font is used as Avenir Next is not available.

Colours are Magenta #760a29 Gold #fdad09 and these carry through all media.
